If you’re at an inn with your cheese sandwich, sitting across the table from someone eating a burger-- do we need to be concerned that you’ll take a bite? What if the person across the table is your brother? Your spouse? The laws of Kashrut make some fascinating and beautiful assumptions about the intimacy involved in food sharing. This session will explore the highly contextual rules of haala al shukhan echad (putting meat and dairy on the same table).
