Whether you are an avid baker or are interested in getting started, we will go in-depth on the ways to use and maintain a sourdough starter. Bread is a thread that connects history, agriculture, baking, fermentation, Judaism, and community. In this session you will learn about the history of sourdough, modern approaches to growing grain, and how it connects to Jewish tradition. You will have the opportunity to take home some of my own 140-year-old (kosher) sourdough or birth your own today!
